Star Russian couple, Andrei Konchalovsky and Julia Vysotskaya, acquired a villa in Foiano della Chiana, near Arezzo in Tuscany, in the 2010s. They searched property in Italy in two years. The couple lived a long time in different parts of Europe, but as the result opted for Italy.
The estate in Tuscany, bought the couple, was built in the 18th century and for the long time was the ancestral estate of the Italian nobility Mancini.
"Americans lived here before us, and the house was in a terrible condition. The former owners bricked archway and ruined luxury terrace. We had to rebuild everything," Julia Vysotskaya told reporters.
The villa boasts a master and guest houses, gardens, vineyards and wine cellar.
The Italian residence is the best place to relax for Andrei Konchalovsky. 77-year-old filmmaker loves rural life in Tuscany more than vanity life in Moscow. Yes, he is close to relatives. His brother Nikita Mikhalkov also owns an 10 hectares estate in Tuscany with vineyards, where he produces wine "12".
Furthermore, the villa is the place of expensive culinary tours by Julia Vysotskaya, as well as recording television programs about these workshops.
