The most expensive accommodation and education in Italy are in Milan

Education in Italy is not available for anyone because of the high rent rates, says the ee24.com citing the research made by Immobiliare.it. Statistical analysis included the 15 largest cities. Milan turned out to be the most expensive among them for foreign students.

Room renting in Italy costs no less than €380 in average. And if the students decide to share housing rent, the price wouldn’t reduce just by half. In this case, each one will have to pay separately for its bed. And it is typical for the whole Italy. Average bed space will cost €280. The room price in Milan strongly depends on the area. Rent fee in central areas comes to €590 and in other areas students may rent a house a bit cheaper - for about €480.

Second expensive and popular city is, of course, Rome. The disparity in rent at the center and in the periphery is almost €100. Room rented at the historical part of the city will worth €500 per month and € 410 in other areas in average. Rome is followed by such cities as Florence and Bologna. Room renting there costs €360 and €330. Bed will cost €260 and €240. Turin city is slightly behind as average room rent there worth €320 and the bed-place €220.

All those, who wish to save on their stay, should come to the south of Italy, where prices are a bit more affordable. Room in Catania and Palermo, may be found for €200.

Students are attracted to Italy by low cost of education, if compared with average European level and its high quality. Moreover, according to statistics from the "Panorama" newspaper, professional leadership belongs to the graduates from the University of Turin. They win in job placement or in the humanitarian expertise and are followed by the ones from the Università Statale di Milano. According to the newspaper, this University is the best in Italy, if assessed by a combination of several criteria. There are universities with excellent performance in the global ranking on the natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics and computer software in Rome. According to the Ministry of Education of Italy, 1.7 million international students from around the world are studying in the country.

The difference in prices in Italian regions is primarily caused by the city’s popularity among tourists, students, and workers. The large influx of non-residents, of course, raises the housing price. In addition, living conditions, comfort and proximity to points of interest has a significant impact on the rental rates.
