The average price of property in Italy of category A2 (i.e., of high quality) decreased by 15% from €200,000 in 2010 to €170,000 in 2014. Taxes and spending, on the contrary, increased during the same time period by 104%, from €300 to €611. It turns out that the tax burden initially was €1,5 per thousand euro in value of home, and now this figure has increased by 140% to €3,6.
Housing of category A3 (economy class) is cheaper by 15% (from €174,500 to €148,300), the tax on it is by 88% more (from €264 to € 495), and the real tax burden has increased by 121% from €1,5 to €3,3 per thousand euro in value of home.
