In Milan will be built skyscraper “vertical forest”

Italians are going to build a skyscraper “vertical forest” in Milan. Project called Bosco Verticale, consisting of two residential towers with concrete ledges planted with trees of various species, will be implemented in 2013, according to Architizer.

The trees will have to absorb dust and carbon dioxide (the main problem of Milan), produce oxygen and protect house residents from the sun. The two towers are 79 m and 109 m have already been built. In 2013 will be planted 730 trees, 11000 ground cover plants and 5000 shrubs.

Skyscraper-Forest Park in Milan is a significant step in the development of green architecture.
