It seems that George Clooney's Italian novel come to the end - the actor puts on sale his beloved villa Oleandra on Lake Como in the town of Laglio.
Clooney bought the villa of the 18th century in 2001 for $10 million. Now the starting sale price is $100 million. Clooney has always talked about how he loves Lake Como, but paparazzi attention to him and his wife Amal does not allow him to enjoy the solitude and nature. In April of this year, the mayor of Laglio Roberto Pozzi issued a $600 fine for anyone who disturbed Clooney's private life.
This is not the first time when the actor plans to leave Como. In 2007 the then mayor of the city Giuseppe Munter planned to turn a boat dock next to the villa Clooney in the observation deck for viewing Clooney's house, and Clooney wanted to part with his villa. Residents of the city rebelled, and signed a petition against the construction of a viewing platform. Fortunately, the plan was not implemented.
Now the actor is more determined, while saying that he does not intend to leave Italy, but plans to buy property in a secluded location.
