Location Description.
The villa is on a very quiet side road leading to the memorial building of the Alpine Army with minimal passing traffic. This road is off the road leading to the Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club which is only 5 minutes away. Built by the English this is the oldest and most famous golf course in Lombardy. Menaggio is only 10 minutes by car with its shops, bars, restaurants, hotels and ferry station providing year round boat services to other towns on the lake. Como is less than an hour away and the cultural Swiss city of Lugano only 30 minutes. North from Menaggio there is easy access to St Moritz and Bormio in around 2 hours. The famous Valtellina valley with its renowned red wines and tours of the vineyards plus skiing is only an hour away. The airports of Milan Malpensa and Linate are approx. 1.5 hours and Lugano airport is approx. 45 minutes with regular feeder flights to Zurich and Geneva.
