VIP-villas in the popular seaside resorts are getting cheaper

Dream of a vacation with friends, staying in a luxury villa by the sea, is actually much easier to realize than it seems. Rental property at sea, as it turns out, is readily available, even in places that have always been considered accessible only to celebrities.

It is a place frequented by Italian singer, actress, TV presenter Christine Dee Aven; actor, director, screenwriter and producer Roberto Benigni and his wife, actress and producer Nicoletta Braschi.

Ischia, a volcanic island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, has a price tag on the villa from €15,000 to €25,000. Sabaudia - a comune in the Lazio region - offers villas priced from €16,000 to €24,000. Here, in particular, football player and longtime captain of the "Roma" Francesco Totti rests. The route from Rome to the villa is for him quite a bit of time.

Porto Rotondo, Sardinia's Costa Smeralda, is popular among singers. There you can find villas from €16,000 to €36,000. The Italian pop singer Anna Tatandzhelo and actor and singer-songwriter Gigi D'Alessio songs like to rest in Porto Rotondo.

As for the luxury residences outside of Italy, rent in Formentera (Balearic Islands, Spain) costs from €15,000 to €40,000, in Marbella - from €15,000 to €28,000 and Mykonos (Greece) - from €16,000 to €40,000.

In some areas, prices have fallen by about a quarter compared with August 2012. The largest decrease was observed in Italian places like Porto Rotondo, Pantelleria, Forte dei Marmi and Ischia (-20 %), Argentario (-18 %), Porto Cervo, Panarea and Capri (-15 %).

For comparison, the popular destinations outside Italy also lost much in price. For example, the Spanish Marbella fell by 25%, Formentera (Balearic Islands) - 15%, and the island of Mykonos, part of the Cyclades in the central part of the Aegean Sea, - 10%.
