Property in Germany will go up in value by 4-5% in 2014

According to experts of Deutsche Bank, in 2014, real estate in Germany will continue to go up in value the 6th year in row, according to ee24.com citing dbresearch.com.

In 2014, houses in Germany will increase in price by 3-4% , townhouses - by 2.5-3.75%. Prices for apartments in Germany will increase by 4% in the secondary market and by 5% in the primary one. In major cities, prices will rise even faster - by 6% and 7.5%, respectively. These cities are: Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Cologne, Munich, Hamburg and Stuttgart.

Recall that in 2013 residential real estate in Germany has become by 6% more expensive (houses - by 5%, apartments - by 7%).

"The increase in prices in Germany is explained by the high demand for own housing. There are several reasons: historically low mortgage rates, influx of foreign investors wishing to invest in stable real estate market, further opening of European borders. In 2014, city primary property (thanks to the development of central areas) and income apartment buildings (for subsequent lease) will rise in prices."
