Unnecessary lands in Imatra

In the first half of 2013, only seven Russians bought land in Imatra, while in the past year they have acquired 25 plots, ee24.com reports citing imatralainen.fi.

It is no secret that Russian citizens are the main buyers of the Finnish real estate. Analysts, however, do not lose hope to make up for the previous year, and the market is stable. According to the property manager Pertti Kanerva, the maximum enthusiasm of Russian buyers have passed. The main interest was the subsequent rent: to this end, summer cottages were built on plots.

Today, according to Mr Kanerva, the interest is weakening due to the difficulties in obtaining building permits, as well as the limitations of the law "On the Land Use and Building" and the need to coordinate their actions with all contractors. As a result, it became much easier to purchase ready-made home.
