In Finland, there is a "Russian boom" in the suburban real estate. Some experts believe that the wealthy Russian clients have raised the price to a level that can not afford the average Finnish family, but it's not just that, according to Fontanka.fi.
Suburban real estate market in Finland has regional characteristics. In the eastern province Pohjois-Savo up to 2012 marked increase in the number of transactions with country houses (+3.8%), while in the south-western province Varsinais-Suomi recorded the largest decline (-13.6%).
Another reason why the Finnish property remains unclaimed lays in the change of generations of owners and with it - a change of taste and requirements of country house. Often "granny houses" is bought only under renovation and modernization, which means additional costs.
According to the latest data, the suburban real estate market in Finland decreased by 10%. A total of 2012 were made 10,500 transactions in suburban areas.
