Decrease prices of cottages in Finland

The cost of houses in Finland in the third quarter of 2012 has decreased by 1,4% compared to the same period of 2011. From the second quarter of 2012 the price of homes fell by 4,1%. In the metropolitan area price level continues to grow – in this year it rose by 2,9%, while in the suburbs of the capital and other regions of country prices have dropped by 1,9%.

Land prices have dropped by an average of 2,9% compared to the third quarter of 2011. If we talk about second quarter of 2012 – by 6,5%.

Most of all have gone down the prices in Eastern Finland - here decrease is 3,6% compared to the same period of 2011. However, if we compare the price levels in the region with the second quarter of 2012, we can identify the most rapid growth in prices - 8,6%. In southern Finland, prices for the quarter fell by 4,6%.
