British sell the most "skinny" building, the width of which is only 84 inches, or 2.1 meters. 2-storey house is situated in the north of the UK capital in the area of Herring (Harringay). The starting price of the building on Glenwood Road is £235,000 (approx. €294,000), according to ee24.com citing The Independent. It goes up for auction on October 1, 2014.
The building is pinched between two other houses. It features two bedrooms on the first floor, and a reception room, kitchen and bathroom/WC on the ground floor. There is also a roof terrace and a gas-fired central heating system: the latter of which has not been tested, as the ad says.
The world's narrowest building was built in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, in 2012. The width at the narrowest point is 92 cm, and in the broadest – 1.5 meters. Its total area is about 15 sq.m.
And the narrowest property in Britain is a terraced home on the Isle of Cumbrae, off the Ayrshire coast in Scotland, which has a front facade measuring just 3ft wide.
