British scientists have found that the English still believe that television is the integral part of their homes, reports The Daily Mail.
The British department of radio, television and communication companies (OFCOM) has issued a report that explicitly states that the modern British home looks more like online clubs, where each family member has their own source of information, should it be a computer, a tablet or a mobile phone.
And even so, more than 90% of British families gather in their living room every week to watch TV all together.
It is interesting that over 50% of British families are looking for information via mobile phones or tablets while watching TV programs. Quite often it is combined with a discussion in the social networks. The report also states that a typical British family has an average of three devices for on-line communication.
In the 1990s average British family had two TVs. Now - just one, but it's a plasma with a diagonal of more than 109 cm
