Property in London started to look down

Surprisingly but this month housing prices in London haven't set another record, and slightly declined. The property is offered on average for £590 thousand (€740 thousand), which is 0.5% less than in the previous month, according to ee24.com citing bloomberg.com.

Director of Rightmove Miles Shipside says that "parts of the London market are starting to run out of steam." Indeed, only in one third out of the 32 London boroughs prices continue to rise. These include Westminster - the second most prestigious area (+3.5%). The most expensive housing in London, which is in Kensington and Chelsea, in contrast, fell in price by 0.3% and now goes for £2.38 million (€2.99 million).

Recall that in 2013 asking prices in London increased by 14.5%, and nationwide in the United Kingdom - by 7.7%.
