John Lennon's childhood house in Liverpool was sold in the end of October for £460 thousand (€560 thousand), according to ee24.com citing The Telegraph.
The buyer is a U.S. citizen, whose name isn't disclosed. Let us recall: the portal ee24.com recently wrote that the house in Liverpool, where Lennon lived before five, will be put up for auction. It is noteworthy that the transaction amount appeared three times higher than the estimated value of the house (£150 - £250 thousand).
According to the managing director of Countrywide Property, Andrew Brown, there was a noticeable interest from British citizens and foreigners. Actually it is just a small house with the living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, but it has become iconic.
The previous owner of the house kept the atmosphere of 1960s inside. Now he is retired and dreams of buying a house with large garden, to enjoy a well-earned rest.
