Croatian real estate becomes more affordable

In October 2013, the Croatian real estate prices dropped by 0.7% compared to September 2013 and by 4.9 % year on year. Real estate in Zagreb depreciates faster than the national average - by 1.2% and 6.6%, respectively. The cost of a square meter in the Croatian capital has reached €1,572, according to ee24.com citing poslovnipuls.com.

In Split, the second largest city, the price has decreased by 10.8% year on year and it amounts to €2,145 per sq.m. In Rijeka, the Croatian "third" capital, it has decreased by 2.2% to €1,530.

Note that only in three regions of Croatia (Dubrovnik- Neretva, Split-Dalmatia and Primorje-Gorski counties) the cost of houses and apartments exceeds €2,000 per sq.m.
