Village in Bulgaria with 283 residents was listed up for sale

Bulgarian village Černo polje, located in Vidin region in the north-west of the country, was put up for sale. Village head Todor Todorov was very surprised to know that someone had tried to sell the village, according to ee24.com citing gdeinvestirati.com.

Given the sales of state property in other European countries, as well as the practice of renting out the entire villages, one would think that Bulgaria has decided to start doing the same.

Author of the offer which was published on the net, had described the village as "nice and big," and promised to name the price after negotiations. Reporters tried to contact the seller, but nobody answered the phone.

"No jobs, not enough of food", said Todorov about living in his village. By him, it's unlikely someone sane could wish to buy such a property in Bulgaria.
