About 48% of buyers are interested in new construction in Bulgaria. In 2012, there was the greatest demand of two and three bedroom apartments with an average area of 60 to 120 square meters, according to the portal NewsBG.ru.
The real estate market in Bulgaria has the following trend: wealthy investors are willing to buy apartments in private residences, offering additional services, as well as in old houses, and customers with limited finances buy apartments in prefabricated homes.
Number of customers, who buy real estate near the subway stations or public transport, has been increasing. In some Bulgarian cities such as Sofia and Burgas customers are interested in apartments, located near new shopping centers, while in Varna the opposite trend is observed.
The most active foreign buyers in Bulgaria are Russian citizens, who buy real estate on the coast for their own use.
