Half of new apartments in Bulgaria cannot be sold

1 of 2 new apartments in Bulgaria by the sea is still waiting for buyer, and in the capital of Sofia there are 50,000 of available apartments, reports ee24.com citing monitor.bg.

Radost Kristeva, sales director in one of the real estate agencies in Varna, say that there are many unsold buildings in Bulgaria by the sea. The most popular apartments are located in the city centers and in close proximity to the sea, while housing at inflated prices or in low-prestige areas can stay unsold for a lot of time.

Nasko Atanasov from Victoria Invest argues that there are many of unsold apartments in the capital. According to him, there are 170,000 of relevant ads, but many of them are duplicated, so that the real offer is closer to 50,000. According to some estimates, the majority of unsold apartments in Sofia belong to the primary market and they stay unsold due to unreasonably high prices and low quality buildings which were started during the crisis.
