Foreign investment in Bulgarian property decreased by 18.1%

Foreign investments in real estate in Bulgaria decreased by 18.1% in annual terms and amounted to €106 million (from January to October 2014). The data of the same period in 2013 were €129.4 million, the ee24.com informs citing newsbg.ru and preliminary data of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB).

The size of foreign direct investments in January-October 2014 fell by 38.6% and amounted to €1.3 billion (for the same period in 2013 – €804.9 million). October 2014 was the positive period, when the inflow of foreign investments in Bulgaria amounted to €217.3 million.

The active investors in Bulgaria are from the Netherlands (€225.8 million). And businessmen from Germany took out the money from Bulgaria (minus €214.6 million), while the Bulgarians were transferred to overseas projects €141.9 million (for comparison, for the same period in 2013 were €135.2 million).
