Polina Stoykova, CEO of Bulgarian properties, says that the difficult situation in the relations between Russia and Ukraine, as well as the fall of the Russian ruble, are forcing people to seek refuge in a stable and promising country. Tihomir Tsakov, the owner of the agency Aristo, talks about a possible increase in demand from the Russians and Ukrainians in the early summer of 2014.
At the same time, Mladen Mitov from Yavlena hopes that the Russian-Ukrainian crisis will not worsen because this will affect negatively the economy of Bulgaria.
It is noteworthy that about 400 thousand Russians own real estate in Bulgaria. Russian citizens are also the most frequent travelers in Bulgaria and they stay an average of 12 nights, which is quite a lot. In 2013, the number of tourists in Bulgaria from Russia increased by 12.3%, from Ukraine - by 13.5%.
