Despite the fact that this winter there was less snow on ski resorts, the number of transactions for the purchase of property in the mountains of Bulgaria has increased, according to ee24.com citing monitor.bg.

Marinela Kuzmanina from Unique Properties of Bansko confirms that interest to real estate in this city is strong all year round. Half of buyers are foreigners, mainly Russians. The other half are Bulgarians. Polina Stoykova, executive director of Bulgarian Properties, says that the Bulgarians themselves are interested in housing in Borovets and Pamporovo.

Pencho Penkov from Bansko Properties notes the interest of foreign buyers to the segment of affordable housing. Russians usually buy apartments for € 25-30 thousand. Prices for studios here start from €15 thousand. Along with this, Penkov argues that the market is now devided between 40% Russians, 40% Bulgarians and 20% of other foreigners, primarily Romanians and Serbs.
