In the offseason Vallnord and Grandvalira resorts - two largest ski resorts in Andorra- have invested in infrastructure 7 800 000 euros. The main sensation of the season will be the opening of a new snow park for freestyle, named "Ole". Also new season of 2011-2012, at Grandvalira will be five new tracks. There is also the longest descent in the Pyrenees with 9,6 km. length.
According to representatives of the Andorran resorts, 32% of its visitors are families. For the smallest skiers Grandvalira opened a new children's trail. The infrastructure of restaurants expanded to 40 institutions scattered throughout the resort.
It should be noted that in the upcoming season women's slalom and giant slalom world championship will be held on the Grandvalira slopes on 11-12th February.
Infrastructure development of resorts, restaurants and hotels around the resort territory in aggregate with holding world championships in Andorra will certainly cause an increase in tourist traffic and increasing prices.
