The requirements for foreigners wishing to get a Danish passport, too high, say representatives of the Social Democratic and Socialist People's parties.
"The procedure for obtaining permanent residence in Denmark is complicated, and the procedure for obtaining citizenship in Denmark even more difficult" –notes the general secretary of the Social Democrats, Henrik Dam Kristensen.
Social Democratic and Socialist People's Party wants to simplify the procedure for becoming a citizen and to reduce the language requirements necessary to obtain a passport.
Henrik Dam Kristensen considers unreasonable requirement that foreigners should know the answers to questions like: "In what year did the Danish women's handball team won the gold medal?"
