In Denmark repeal a tax on the use of open space

In Denmark, the government is repealing tax on the use of open spaces, which was collected from restaurants and cafes, placing their tables on the streets during the summer.

Now restaurants and cafes have to pay for the use of open space of streets, and these costs are borne by the customer, making a meal in the open air very expensive. With the abolition of the tax, prices will probably go down.

During the peak tourist season, restaurants in Copenhagen pay up to 50 euros per month per sq. m.
