Church of the Holy Family in Barcelona (Sagrada Família) will be finished in 2026, almost century and a half after the start of construction. The original plan was to have a later completion, but modern technology has reduced the time of masonry construction, according to ee24.com.

To date the construction of the temple which is going under the direction of Jordi Fauli, is completed by 65%. Architects have posted a video in YouTube showing the appearance of the temple in 13 years. From the video it is clear that the main part of the cathedral will be a dome, surrounded by the majestic spiers.

It is planned to build 18 spiers that will symbolize the 12 Apostles, the four Evangelists, the Virgin Mary and (the highest spire height of 170 meters) of Jesus Christ. Critics say that the new project of the temple will be different from the original intent of the architect style of Art Nouveau by Antonio Gaudi. By the way, the great Spanish architect knew that his descendants, who will complete construction of the building, will inevitably bring their own vision, adequate to the new era.

Antoni Gaudí undertook the construction of the temple in 1882 after it was abandoned by architect del Villar, and was engaged in this building until his tragic death in 1926.
