Foreigners are buying more property in Spain

Foreign investors are buying more real estate in Spain. In the second quarter of 2013, 14,593 foreigners have bought a house in Spain, which is 23% more than in the same period last year, according to ee24.com citing propertywire.com.

According to official statistics, 1,086 of foreigners committed transactions in the Spanish property market in the second quarter of 2013, well below the top-end target of 5,000 buyers, noted in 2006.

During the reporting period there was an increase in the number of investors from Belgium by 78% in France by 70% in Germany by 35% in the UK by 25%. The share of Britons in the Spanish market is 15%, making this group the largest group of investors among the other nationalities. On the second place with 11% are the French, the Russians with 9%, the Belgians and Germans, who have 8%.

Most of all increased the sales to foreigners in Murcia - by 43% in Andalusia by 37% in Valencia by 32%. It is expected that sales to foreigners will continue to grow until the fourth quarter of this year. Such optimism is supported by the law of the "golden visa" allowing non-residents to obtain a residence permit in Spain.
