Experts in the field of tourism made a list of the most sustainable resorts in Europe.
The three leaders are resorts located in Portugal, Crete and Malta. The first of them is located in the Azores Islands (archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean, occupied by the same name autonomous region of Portugal), the second - in the southern city of Greece - Ierapetra, and the third - islands of Gozo and Comino (Malta).
Coastal resorts of completely different directions were estimated for their local identity, natural and cultural heritage, as well as the beauty of landscapes.
