General Electric, the US energy, healthcare and infrastructure giant has announced a 900 million USD investment in Turkey. According to John Rice, General Electric’s Vice Chairman, “GE’s planned investments in Turkey benefit from the opportunities offered by the rapidly growing economy and aligns well with the country’s 2023 vision”.
Commenting on the announcement Turkey’s Minister of Economy, Zafer Caglayan, said “Turkey’s new investment incentive scheme appears to have been well-analyzed by GE. The aims of Turkey’s new incentive regime and GE’s investment package are a perfect match”. According to Rice General Electric will “focus on infrastructure and innovation”.
