Sociological survey, involving 6,000 respondents and conducted by the Municipality of Barcelona, showed that the best area of the capital of Catalonia was the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi. There are high standard of living, landscaping, local incomes and number of cars in comparison with other citizens, the ee24.com informs with reference to the Spanish media.
This area has the largest apartments in Barcelona with area of 100 sq.m, while the average in the city – 77 sq.m. Properties in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district are the most expensive in the capital of Catalonia – €5,000 per sq.m (the average price in the city is €3,300).
Citizens of Sarrià-Sant Gervasi have higher education (59.1% of all district's residents) and "speak or understand English" (60%). Every fifth person owns the business, and every second – aboriginal: born in Barcelona – 53%, and live all life here – 48.6%.
