Dracula's Castle. The most expensive building in Europe is for sale

Bran Castle in Romania, the cost of which is estimated by Forbes at more than €100 million, is up for sale, writes portal ee24.com citing telegraph.co.uk. The price of this offer is confidential, but previously the sum of €58 million was announced.

The ancient castle of Bran, where Vlad Tepes, also known as Dracula, supposedly lived in the XV century, was returned to the House of Habsburgs in 2007. In 2009, the museum was opened, and it quickly became an extremely popular tourist attraction in Romania. Dracula's Castle is visited annually by more than half a million tourists, and each of them spends at least €5 - the cost of the admission ticket.

Dominic Habsburg, who does not have time and energy to maintain the castle in a proper condition, was willing to resell it to the Government of Romania for €58 million, but the offer has not caused interest. Now an American company Herzfeld and Rubin will try to sell the building to a private investor, who will be able to carry out restoration and create a tourist infrastructure around the museum.
