Monaco: the first stage of reclamation area will cost €1 billion

Expanding the territory of Monaco is in full swing. The next stage of the project, in which the principality will receive an additional 60,000 square meters, will call for tenders for the construction. Now the government is searching for developers who extend the coastline of Monaco, reports The Monaco Times.

The first phase of construction is estimated to approximately €1 billion. It is planned to create a massive pavement foundation. The Monegasque authorities are inclined to erect a concrete slab at a depth of 20 meters at the base, floating box or sand swamping.

The area located near the beach Larvotto should be built up with real estate not higher than 10 floors. It will accommodate also interesting additions, such as underwater car park and marina. Project proposals may be submitted until July 23. On the coordination of the documentation will take about a year. The expansion of land will be completed in 2024.
