The Government of the Republic of Macedonia is attracting foreign investment by organizing presentations in front of business circles in different countries, who may become potential investors.

In late May - early June of this year, the Macedonian government delegation made such visits to Nordic countries and active policy for attracting foreign investment brings real results. For the first ten months of 2011 211 000 000 euros of foreign capital was attracted in the economy.

Macedonia has a stable economy, a strong national currency - the dinar, which in the past 10 years has not changed its policy in relation to the euro which attracts foreign investors. Inflation is only 2,5%, annual GDP growth – 5,5%. In 2011, the country is recognized as a country with the best in the world taxation policy, ranked third in the ranking of reformers. It has a stable financial system with the lowest taxes in Europe.

As a result of measures undertaken by the government, the country has risen from 96th to 22th place in the investment attractiveness. Expansion of trade with Europe is a result of signed free trade agreements with all European countries.
