Greece decided to arrange the sale of nine secluded islands in the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas to help the economy. For a long time part of islands couldn’t be sold because of ban on sale to individuals. In a crisis, the Greeks have made concessions and allowed construction on these islands, according to Private Islands Online.
Greek authorities have put up for sale the following islands: Modi (€1.14 million), St. Athanasius (€1.43 million), Tokmakia (€3.76 million), Gaia (€3.8 million), Kardiotissa (€6.08 million), St. Thomas (€11.4 million), Dulichium (€37.6 million), Omfori (€45.1 million), Patroklos (€140.3 million).
