During the year the property prices in Spain fell by 8.2%, according to ee24.com with reference to the European media. Today the square meter costs an average of €1,694. This figure has dropped below €1,700 for the first time since 2001. Since June, prices fell by 0.5%.
In different regions the prices were moving in different directions. In Alicante, for example, prices rose by 0.9% in Cuenca rose by 0.6% in Jaén by 0.5%, in La Rioja and Navarra by 0.4%.
Price reduction is most noticeable in Cordoba (-1.3%), Las Palmas (-1.2%), Toledo and Ciudad Real (-1.1%), Barcelona (-1%), Madrid and Seville (-0.7%) and Valencia (-0.9%).
