Mallorca's authorities have banned swimming suits

Palma City Council has recognized the appearance of residents and tourists in swimming trunks and bathing suits in public as reprehensible. Those people who are not dressed after the beach and who continue to walk in the city in an inappropriate way, will pay up to €600, according to ee24.com citing dailymail.co.uk.

Law on "good citizens" implies penalties for appearing in public in bathing suits and for riding bicycles on sidewalks. And the people of Palma supported these innovations. Some bars and restaurants already denied naked guests in visiting, and now they will have a legal basis to report about them to the police.

Deputy Mayor of Palma Alvaro Gijon argues that the provisions were not aimed to attract revenues to the city budget but to maintain "harmony and civility" in the streets.
