Madrid will not be able to finish the City of Justice

An ambitious project City of Justice, which cost Madrid €500 million uthorities and was to consist of 15 new buildings, will not be completed, reports ee24.com citing El País.

First plans to establish this complex was announced 11 years ago. Now, it was reported that the company engaged in the process will soon be eliminated.

The only one fully completed building in the project is the Institute of Forensic Medicine (on the photo), popularly nicknamed a "donut" for its unusual shape. Alejandro Saera Polo, the architect of this building did not continue his work on the City of Justice because of lack of funds. On the construction of the Institute €19,3 million was spent and it is vacant for the past three years.

Attention is drawn to the fact that the real cost of keeping the construction of the complex frozen remains unknown since 2009. Despite the fact that since September 2012 the construction work is not carried out, the budget for 2013 was introduced with an amount of €26,155 for staff costs and €50,000 for the services of professionals. In 2014, it is planned to spend €20,000.
