Spanish square meter once again renewed its minimum price. In July, the sellers offered their houses and apartments for €1,641 per sq.m, which is 0.9% less than in June, and 7.5% lower year-over-year, writes ee24.com citing fotocasa.es.
Since 2007, when the cost of a "square" soared to €2,952, the drop has reached 44.4%. More than others suffered the markets in Rioja, Aragon, Navarre, Murcia, Catalonia and Madrid.
However, there are positive signs: in comparison with June, real estate in 5 out of 17 regions of Spain has gone up in value by 0.6-1.9%, namely in Castile and Leon, the Basque Country, Aragon, Catalonia and Galicia.
The most expensive housing is still located in the Basque Country (€2,951 per sq.m), in Madrid (€2,194 per sq.m) and in Catalonia (€2,017 per sq.m). And opposite, cost per sq.m in Castilla - La Mancha, Extremadura and Murcia does not exceed €1,200.
