Authorities of city of Vera in province of Almeria (Andalusia) have banned residents and tourists to appear on the streets in the nude. But soon they've changed their mind: officials acknowledged the decision as erroneous and promised not to violate the rights of people, reports ee24.com citing kyero.com.
At first glance, the requirement not to go out in the nude or topless is quite logical, as open spaces in urban areas are public places. But Vera is a recognized center of nudism which attracts people from around the world, bringing a lot of money for business and for budget. Many of travelers have to rent or buy a property in this Spanish city.
Thinking about future financial losses, Town Hall has promised to abolish the law which was the odious for this city. Authorities on Mallorca, on the contrary, have banned people from appearing in swimming trunks and bathing suits.
