Real estate in Slovenia is cheaper than it has ever been

In Q3 2013, housing prices in Slovenia fell by 4% compared with Q2 2013, and houses and apartments in the primary market have become by 15% more affordable, according to ee24.com citing poslovnipuls.com. In general, prices for new homes now are even by 13.5% lower than at the beginning of 2007.

There are not so many apartments are being sold in Slovenia, so that any problems of  developers can significantly affect the statistics. In this case, 60 apartments in Ljubljana have been sold in a building of bankrupt Vegrad company.

If the prices of new apartments are falling a fourth consecutive quarter, the situation in the secondary market is quite stable.
