The real estate market in Slovenia is depressed

The deepest annual decline since the third quarter of 2009 occurred in the real estate market in Slovenia. In 2012, housing became cheaper by 11.12%, according to Global Property Guide with reference to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia. During the last quarter of 2012, real estate prices in Slovenia fell by 4.42%.

In 2012, the average price of new buildings decreased by 15.67%. The cost of secondary apartments in Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia, declined by 6.7% in 2012 compared with the previous year, the rest of Slovenia – by 10.64%.
