For sale baroque – classicistic style manor house constructed in 1727, well-known as Gundelfinger manor house situated in the centre of the town Krompachy in the north eastern part of Slovakia. The town Krompachy belongs to the famous turistic region Spiš, which is on of the most visited and respected regions of Slovakia thanks to its extraordinary cultural and historic sights as well as exceptional natural countryside with 3 national parks in close neighbourhod: National Park High Tatras, National Park Slovak Paradise and National Park Pieniny. Within the easy reach are UNESCO sights such as Spiš Castle, historic centre of Levoča as well as other exceptional historic places Spišské Podhradie, Spišská Kapitula or Žehra. The manor house is situated on the plot of 2700 square metres. It is completely reconstructed historic building, which has been used as pension since 1998. The manor house offers a comfortable accomodation in double rooms with extra beds with an independent WC and bathroom, television, satellite, telephone etc. There are also luxurious historical rooms furnitured in a rustic style for those who are more fastidious. The capacity of the boarding house is 25 beds and 12 extra beds. A dining room, saloon, video, bar, reception with a supplementary sale, parking lot etc. are also available for guests to make their stay in the manor house more pleasant.
The oldest written record of the manor house dates back to the year 1592, when Jan Septimus from Lichtenstein has gifted Jeremias Gundelfinger, administrator of the Richnava castle, with several properties. This way the history of the most famous influential family in Krompachy had started. Family Gundelfinger has strengthened their status and social position in the year 1727, when they constructed a new manor house in Krompachy, which was soon recognised as main architectonical dominants of the Krompachy in that period. In 1776 in the right corner of the manor house rock fencing, a chapel of Saint Ján Nepomucký was constructed in honour of creation of Spiš Bishop residence.
The manor house today has become more attractive also thanks to a magnificent countryside that offers very good conditions for mountain tourism in the turistic region Galmus, motorcycling, hunting etc. In winter skiing in an artificially snow-covered centre Plejsy, which is the most famous skiing centre in Slovakia, is also available.
