For the first six months of this year Portugal granted 821 residence permit for investors. During all the period of program "Golden visa in exchange for investments” from 2012 were obtained 3609 permits. The peak was in 2014 - residence permits were granted to 1526 applicants. But in 2015 were issued significantly less permits.
The lion's share of new Portuguese residence permit holders prefer investments in real estate (3405 people), the possibility of investing capital in funds used 199 people, and only five have created 10 employments and thus received a Golden visa.
76% of investors with a residence permit in Portugal (2743) – are citizens of China. They are followed by Brazilians and Russians (180 and 120 respectively). In TOP-5 are also citizens of South Africa and Lebanon.
