In the Q3, 2013, the cost of housing in the Netherlands has decreased. Specialists of NVM attribute this to a lack of interest in real estate in rural areas, according to ee24.com citing Bloomberg.
Dutch real estate in the Q3, 2013 has fallen in price by an average of 0.6 % and now it costs €205,000. The decline amounts to 3.6% year over year.
Analysts believe that the price decline will continue and even accelerate. Now the cost of housing in Amsterdam is lower than in other European capitals. For example, the cost of a sq.m in buildings standing along Amsterdam main channels ranges from €4,800 to €8,800.
