Popularity of housing in Lithuania increased by 25%

This March property sales in Lithuania increased by 25% compared with February and by 17.5% compared to the corresponding period of the last year, according to ee24.com citing ru.delfi.lt.

Sales of real estate in Lithuania show good momentum for years: from 6.3 thousand transactions in March 2010 to 10 thousand transactions in March 2014. The growth in activity is observed in almost all counties of Lithuania.

Lithuanians are preparing to summer: compared with February, house sales increased by 24.9%, land sales - by 34.5%, dacha sales - by 45.8%. At the same time, apartment sales increased only by 13.6%.

Recall that last year property in Lithuania went up in price by 1.1%. Now flats in Vilnius are available for €950-1,900 per sq.m, in Klaipeda - for €800-1,450 per sq.m, in Kaunas - for €700-1,400 per sq.m, depending on the location and year of construction.
