New flying season in Latvia: more destinations, higher frequency

October 25 winter schedule of Riga International Airport was launched. The number of flights increased and new directions of flight were opened.

Thus, Airbaltic introduced two new direct flights – to  Verona in Italy and Salzburg in Austria. Flights will start on December 26, 2015.

The number of flights to Moscow (Sheremetyevo) has changed -  Aeroflot Airlines increased the number of weekly flights from 21 to 28.

Low-cost airlines Ryanair from October 27 launched flights to Berlin (Schönefeld Airport) – seven flights a week.

Another budget airlines Wizz Air will increase twice the number of flights from Riga to London (Luton Airport) - from 7 to 14 per week.

South countries are not far behind: Air Cairo launches charter flights to Hurghada (Egypt) - 1 time a week, starting from October 31.


Total departures from the Latvian capital today provides 21 carrier which cover 69 destinations.
