There are opportunities to find good-value properties in Italy, particularly in the country's rural areas. The latest Global House Price Index from Knight Frank revealed the value of residential real estate in Italy fell by 3,5% in the second quarter of this year, compared to the same three-month period in 2011.
Quarter-on-quarter, property prices slid by 1%, the organization found, which means the country is faring much better than some of its Mediterranean counterparts.
