Apulia was named the most popular resort region in Italy

Adriatic coast of Apulia is a favorite place for vacation among the Italians. Reservations portal Casevacanza.it came to this conclusion after analyzing requests for August, reports ee24.com.

Property in Apulia was reserved by 24% of the clients of the portal, and 7 of the 20 most popular Italian resorts were located in that region. Many Italians are planning to go to the islands: 13% to Sicily, 9% to Sardinia. Not bad, considering the tickets prices for ferries and a long time of the trip.

The fourth and fifth places are shared by Liguria and Tuscany, which could attract 8.5% of users. Short-term rental dominates: residents of neighboring Lombardy and Piedmont, who were already on vacation or can not take time off from work, usually stay for one or two nights.

The most popular resorts of August will be Gallipoli (Apulia), Porto Cesareo (Apulia), Viareggio (Tuscany), Vieste (Apulia) and Rimini (Emilia-Romagna). Renting a house with 4 beds costs there €1,300, €1,000, €950, €500 and €800 per week respectively.
