The town of Popoli has about 6000 inhab. , at 254 m asl, inner flat area in Abruzzo between the Peligna Valley and the Popoli Gorges. The old town has monuments and places of interest such as the many churches, the Taverna Ducale and the splendid ruins of the Cantelmo’s Castle .
