The village of Carunchio is situated on the side of a hill and has magnificent views all round. The church dates back from the 16th Century and sits at the top of the village. It is a friendly little village and holds many Festas over the summer, the main one is the Flower festa which is at the end of June. The village also holds and Ecological walk through the neighbouring countryside in August. There are two restaurants and and two bars in the village along with a butcher, baker, pharmacy and two general stores.
